Your information stays yours.

Your highlights, notes, bookmarks, saved Ask answers, oral practice progress, and settings are stored only on your device. We can't see them. Deleting the app deletes them. When you export your marks, you pick where they go, and we don't receive a copy.

Three features use the internet:

• Ask. When you ask a question, the question and the passages from the book that relate to it are sent to our server, which uses an AI service provider to write the answer.
• Mock Oral. When you answer a question out loud, the recording is sent to our server to be turned into text. That text and the question's grading points are then used to grade your answer. Recordings are not stored after they're transcribed. While you speak, your iPhone may show your words on screen using Apple's speech recognition. That processing happens on your device when possible and otherwise through Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
• Book updates. The app checks for and downloads new versions of the regulations and oral question audio. These requests don't include information about you.

Ask and Mock Oral requests include a random ID that the app creates when it's installed. We use it only to apply daily usage limits. It isn't tied to your name, your Apple ID, or your device hardware, and reinstalling the app creates a new one.

We use this information only to provide Ask and Mock Oral, to enforce daily limits, and to keep the service working, which includes fixing problems and preventing abuse. Questions and transcripts may be kept for a limited time in service logs for those purposes. We don't use your information for advertising, we don't build a profile of you, and we don't sell or share it with data brokers.

Our server and the AI service provider that writes answers, transcribes recordings, and grades them process this information only to perform those tasks for us.

regbook doesn't collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or payment information. It doesn't include analytics, advertising, or tracking software. Purchases are handled by Apple, and we don't receive your payment details.

• Microphone and speech recognition are used only when you tap Answer in Mock Oral. You can turn them off in iOS Settings, and the rest of the app will keep working.
• Photos: regbook never asks for access to your photo library. iOS requires the app to include a note about it only because of a component the app is built with.

regbook is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

You can use regbook's reader, search, bookmarks, and practice mode without sending anything to us. To remove the data on your device, delete the app. Because the random ID isn't connected to you, we can't look up the requests that came from you.
